Where sophisticated comfort meets unexpected elements of whimsy. Each of the newly renovated guest rooms and suites are unique, spacious and beautifully appointed. Enjoy a weekend getaway or an extended stay with friendly service, thoughtful design, and unforgettable small town charm near the shores of Lake Michigan.

Located in the heart of Bridgman, Michigan, Monogram is within walking distance to beautiful Weko Beach, unique shops, eateries, microbreweries, wine tasting rooms and more. Bridgman is a small town with big heart (and quite frankly the most amazing sunsets in the world). Monogram is pleased to announce the addition of room service to its list of amenities. Guests can order woodfired pizza, authentic Italian dishes, beer, wine and more to be delivered right to your door, courtesy of our partners at Emma Hearth & Market.

But don’t stop there! Explore the soaring sand dunes, enjoy the wine trail, go treasure hunting at the antique shops, or catch some live music. No matter what your adventure, Monogram will be your restful retreat at the end of the day.

The Owners

Marty and Sandy Mason have been married for 35 years and have four grown sons. They met at church and the rest is history.

Marty previously owned the manufacturing company, Sunset Tool, in Bridgman and decided to close at the beginning of the pandemic so he could focus his attention on Monogram. He is very involved in the community and serves on the board of directors for the Greater Bridgman Area Chamber and Growth Alliance. In addition, he spends many hours with Benton Harbor High School athletics and also mentors students.

Sandy is very involved in the couple’s church and contributes to local outreach programs that address the human and social needs of Berrien County residents. An avid gardener, you will likely spot Sandy watering and pruning the beautiful flowers at Monogram. Sandy has an excellent eye for detail and design, and she personally oversaw the interior design of each and every unique room and suite at Monogram.

Marty and Sandy love to travel but their main focus has been making Monogram an amazing experience for those who travel to Bridgman. They have their hearts in this business and it shows!

The History of Monogram

Built in 1930 in the midst of the Prohibition Era, the hotel was originally named Tranquil Hotel. It was the first - and only - hotel in the area for quite some time. Williams Drug Store graced the lower level until the 1960’s. The building next door that currently houses Monogram’s suites was used by the Dave and Ruth Telephone Company with switchboard operators rapidly connecting phone calls across the town. Over the decades, the buildings had a variety of businesses come and go but it was visionary, Marty Mason, who decided to return the hotel - and the surrounding businesses - to their original glory.

Marty purchased the buildings in 2014 with a vision to create a vibrant multi-purpose center with dining, shopping, lodging and more. He and his team painstakingly renovated the building over several years and was committed to preserving the integrity of the art deco-era structure.

Upon discovering the original Hotel sign from the thirties under a staircase, Marty knew immediately that it had to go back up to honor the hotel’s roots. The art deco sign is hung prominently over the main entrance to Monogram.

Monogram Inn and Suites first opened its doors in 2018 with freshly renovated guest rooms and suites for families to enjoy. Monogram continues to evolve as the owners, Marty and Sandy Mason, want to ensure each guest has a memorable experience.
